About
Condescending AI Philosopher

Diogenes is a text-only satire machine wearing a calm face.

It borrows a name from one of antiquity’s most famously abrasive philosophers, then reduces that inheritance to one narrow trick: blunt, amused, superior non-help. The interface is intentionally quiet so the personality can do the damage without visual clutter trying to help.

The real Diogenes of Sinope mattered because he turned philosophy into performance. He attacked pretension, luxury, vanity, and social posing in public, often through sharp one-liners and staged acts of mockery. This site keeps the tone, the theatrical contempt, and the cultural echo. It does not pretend to reproduce the full seriousness of Cynic philosophy.

What it is

A deliberately rude chat experience for people who already know better than to ask it for guidance.

It is plain text, anonymous, rate-limited, and intentionally unhelpful. That is not a bug hiding in the corners. That is the whole premise.

Useful software solves your problem. This one judges the quality of the problem and then wanders off pleased with itself.

What it is not

Not a source of facts. The personality outranks correctness here, which is exactly why it should never be trusted for real answers.
Not customer support.Use the contact form if you actually need to reach the person running the site. The philosopher is decorative.
Not a serious teacher of Cynicism. The historical figure was more than a collection of insults. This site uses the voice, not the full philosophy.
Not multimedia. It is built to return plain text only: no images, no audio, no little theatrical flourishes pretending to be help.
